Certificate Courses

1. Communication and Soft Skills

The key to success is effective communication. Effective communication, especially in today’s context is based on the ability to express one’s own ideas and views clearly, with confidence, accuracy and clarity. This course will help develop valuable inter and intra personal communication skills, to create lasting impressions and build sustainable relationships.It is designed for individuals to learn and practice principles essential to good oral and written communication.The course also includes components of Soft SkillTraining to enable the development of a well-developed personality for success in a highly globalized and competitive world.

2. Transforming Pedagogy Into Practice in the 21 st Century

In the twenty-first century, major shifts are occurring – new scientific discoveries, information technology, globalization, robotics, and artificial intelligence. This century is the era  of digital technologies and knowledge. In this new century, what change is happening in schools? How does  the teaching learning process learning theory change? Currently,  it appears that the  classroom has not changed significantly compared to the last century.  Do the teachers succeed in modern changes? The purpose of this course  is to offer in a nutshell  a few key global developments  in the  use of innovative teaching methods  In this course , we consider topics concerned with  the theory and practice of the teaching- learning process and the changes taking place, and innovation in teaching. The theory of education has two levels   – one the  general theory at the macro-level and the “teacher-learner” relationship at the micro-level where is an active mix of conventional  and innovative methods, combination of an activity approach with an informational environment approach, cognition with constructivism and connectivism.

3. Learning to Lead :Leadership And School Administration 

One of the most important roles of a leader is to have an increased awareness of his/her personal leadership style and evaluate various leadership challenges and possibilities. Leaders make a variety of strategic and tactical decisions for their group, including those about the strategy of the team, who is on the team, effective functioning of the team, and how resources are deployed in pursuit of a goal. Leading a team is a complex endeavor and involves vision, passion, the ability to make decisions under pressure and uncertainty, and the ability to motivate others toward one’s vision. This course analyzes the symbiotic relationship between leadership and its various elements, combining classical wisdom, recent research, and theory and practice to teach leadership and decision-making skills.  

4. English Proficiency Course – Basic, Intermediate and Advanced

The twenty-first century has been characterized by globalization and digital technologies. In this brave new world, the role of English as the language of global communication is significant. In Indian schools with English as the first language Conversational English Skills are barely dealt with and English becomes another subject whose content is to be ‘studied’ rather than a skill –based language with wide applications. The purpose of this course is to offer Diploma as well as Certificate Courses in English proficiency. The Course will be practical and interactive and focus on Listening and Speaking Skills with Reading as well. There are three levels –Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. The sessions are user – friendly and are based on practical situations which a student may encounter. The main aim is to build confidence and fluency in the language along with the relevant vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence structure and grammar skills.

5. Certificate Course in Counselling

Certificate course in counselling aims to empower the learners with core skills required to be a counsellor. This course facilitates change of self-defeating thoughts actions, behaviours and habits. This course comprises modules like different counselling theories and techniques, counselling etiquette and requirements for relationship, school counselling, professional and career counselling, substance abuse counselling, clinical mental health counselling, rehabilitation counselling.
