BTTC has continued the legacy of the H(S)NC board to promote Sindhi and contribute to the society.

We take immense pride in being a part of the H(S)NC.  Our institution is a Sindhi Linguistic Minority institution.

It is with the vision and constant motivation of the management that we have scaled the summits to reach up to these Golden moments.

The college takes pride in serving the society by providing quality teacher education. It is one of the premier teacher education for Sindhi’s and general candidates  in South Mumbai.

The Vision being to emerge as a centre of Excellence in teacher education,  it strives to build  teachers armed with professional capacity  to contribute to enhancement of quality of education provided in schools.

In alignment with the NAAC  recommendations, the college has sustained and geared up  efforts to promote Sindhi language and culture.

The college sustains practice of providing guidance to Sindhi students in personal, academic and career areas.

To promote Sindhi language and culture college takes various initiatives.

One of the best practices of the college is the ‘Cultural Kaleidoscope’ that is based on the guidelines provided by the ‘Centre for Cultural Resources and Training’ (CCRT).

The students showcase Sindhi culture (it’s dance, food, history of Sindhu sabhyata, traditions, folk dance, folk songs, Sindhi saints) through skits, dance forms, culinary displays and presentations.

The college provides a platform to Sindhi students by organising an Inter Collegiate competition in its annual fest ‘BTTC Week’. Year 2017-18 portrayed Sindhi Lada dance competition ‘Acho ta Nachu’. 10 groups of Sindhi students from various colleges participated and attempted to promote the culture.

Year 2018-19 displays the Golden Sindh “Sonavarnee Sindh’ which highlights the rich history of Sindh.

A conference was held on 1st March, 2019 in collaboration with the National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL).

The conference was attended by luminaries from the Sindhi Community – artists, writers, poets, educationists, entrepreneurs and others.

The college marked the Golden Jubilee year with the introduction of the Sindhi Certificate courses for Sindhi students under the aegis of NCPSL.

8 students have successfully completed the basic certificate course with some of them getting a distinction. The college intends to continue this tradition with providing more opportunities for learning sindhi.

The conference ‘ A Linguistic Pedagogy  : Teaching of Sindhi in Digital World’ on 15-16 November, 2019 was one step ahead in spreading Sindhi language and the intricacies of teaching Sindhi to youngsters who have a lost relationship even with conversational Sindhi.

While the college is committed to excellence in teacher education, it is also committed to supporting the cause of education in the Sindhi community at large.

The institution looks forward to continued support of NCPSL and the Sindhi diaspora in the future endeavours of the college.

Year 2020 has a landmark turning point for the college by becoming a constituent college of HSNC University. The college is a part of the School of Languages in the University.
