Bombay Teachers’ Training College, a premier college of education in South Mumbai, was elevated as a constituent college of HSNC University, Mumbai, which was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Uddhav Thackeray Ji and Honorable Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshiyari Ji on 11^th June 2020.

BTTC has a long history of teacher education. The college enjoys the legacy of the prestigious HSNC Board, a 70-year-old educational trust of Mumbai catering to higher education and school education. The college is in its 51^st year and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2019.

Being a leading institution of teacher education, we are committed to educate, enlighten and empower aspiring teachers from KG to PG and PG+ with professional twenty-first-century skills. We are a college that is emerging as a centre of excellence in teacher education as well as a global centre of research in education and interdisciplinary research.

BTTC is committed to excellence and ensures comprehensive professional practices. The programmes offered are diverse and inclusive, producing engaged student teachers who are involved in leadership roles. This experiential learning proves to be highly reflective and embeds values like Multiculturalism, Scientific Temper, Team Spirit, Eco-conscious and Lifelong Learning in the professional life of our students. BTTC family hones the talents of these young professionals who practise these values and multiply these invaluable lessons through the student community.

In changing times, along with technological development and emerging digital world, the role of teachers is also changing. To live up to this transformation, we have introduced new strategies in our pedagogical practices and new initiatives and collaborative approaches to promote research at our centre.

With our long-term association with various institutions of repute, government and non-government organizations, we have extended our outreach and social activities. We have designed and developed a model that infuses connection and advances relationship with the community to add an invaluable layer to education.

We are blessed with visionary management, with more than 23 educational institutions, providing a holistic platform for teaching, learning, research, sports, culture, community outreach, learning resources and focused training for career and employment. The Provost of HSNC University, Mumbai is the main source of inspiration and we translate his vision by creating an environment that fosters competitiveness, creative thinking and innovation.

The continuous, comprehensive and collaborative efforts of the management, faculty, students, alumni and all other stakeholders have cultivated a culture that is full of contentment and belongingness.
